Terms and Conditions

Product Specifications and Descriptions

We have taken great care to ensure that our product specifications and descriptions are correct. However, we reserve the right supply goods to the specification and/or design current at the date of despatch.

Although we prefer to use suppliers who are registered to ISO 9000 standards by an accredited registration body, not all our goods may come from sources who are registered or whose scope of registration includes all activities relevant to the goods. Details of the quality registration status of any product are available on request.

Returns Policy

We will accept return of goods provided that:

  • This is agreed with us within 10 days of original delivery.
  • We consider the goods to be in re saleable condition.
  • And any specified charge for freight and handling is accepted.
  • If either the goods or the packaging are defaced or otherwise damaged in any way, we reserve the right to refuse return or make a charge for putting them back into condition as new.

Fulfilment of Orders

We shall endeavour to fulfil every order within the shortest possible time. There may be rare occasions where we face stock shortages through circumstances beyond our control. Should such circumstances arise, we reserve the right to extend the lead-in time for fulfilment or extend the back-order period where appropriate and within reason.

Delivery

Any special delivery requirements must be notified to us when placing an order. We will not be responsible for any unloading or handling unless otherwise agreed and customers are asked to ensure that arrangements are made to deal with large and/or heavy items.

Hazardous materials will be despatched in accordance with current legislation.

Loss or Damage in Transit

Notification of loss or damage in transit must be made within three days of delivery in writing (email is acceptable). In the case of non-delivery, notification must be made within seven days after receipt of our invoice.

Packing

We reserve the right to add a reasonable charge for containers or packing to our quoted prices. We also reserve the right to deliver in pack sizes which differ from those ordered.

Prices

Unless otherwise agreed, the price of the goods shall be that ruling on the date of despatch. Value Added Tax and duties will be charged where applicable.

Packing, postage and charges for containers are also subject to VAT where applicable.

If you require any additional tests to be undertaken or Certificates of Analysis or Conformity to be issued, these may be charged separately. We reserve the right to apply a minimum order value, however, this may be waived on acceptance of a minimum order charge.

Payment

Unless otherwise agreed in writing, our payment terms are within 30 days from date of invoice. We reserve the right to charge interest on all overdue sums at the rate of 5% per annum above the base lending rate of the Bank of England, calculated at the date of actual payment. Payment in advance and a minimum order value may be required from non-account customers.

Cancellation

Orders that are cancelled without prior written notification may be subject to payment of a cancellation charge.

Liability

Customers are solely responsible for determining the suitability of the goods they are purchasing for the purposes for which they wish to use them, and for the suitability and accuracy of any technical information provided.

Accordingly our liability for any loss or damage suffered by our customers, arising by reason of defects in the goods or otherwise, shall be limited to the invoice price of the goods, in respect of or in relation to which loss or damage is claimed.

Notification of any defects in the goods must be made in writing to us giving full details. If and when required by us, the goods must be returned for inspection. Our liability under this clause shall be in lieu of any warranty or condition implied by law as to the quality or fitness for any particular purchase of the goods. We shall not be under any liability, whether in contract, tort, breach of statutory duty or otherwise in respect of defects in goods delivered; or for any injury (other than death or personal injury caused by our negligence as defined in the Unfair Contract Terms Act 1977), damage or loss resulting from such defects or from any information, service or device rendered by us or our employees or agents.

Health and Safety

It is encumbant upon the customer to take precautions during the handling, use and storage of the goods in accordance with all available information concerning the goods.
